Procrastination – does it apply to you?

Spend some time reflecting on these situations and try to assess to what extent the statements below apply to you.

1. I study for exams/tests systematically, I do not leave studying to the last moment.

2. I get things done on time (assignments, studying for exams, paying bills, renewing/cancelling subscriptions, etc.).

3. When I have a difficult task, I immediately plan what steps to take to complete it.

4. I like to plan my activities in advance and I always stick to the plan.

5. I usually answer e-mails/ missed calls immediately.

6. I get down to my homework just before class.

7. I may wait until the last minute to start a task/project.

8. When a deadline for a task is approaching, e.g. the period assigned to study for an exam or write an essay, etc., I may spend time on completely different activities.

9. When a task comes up/has to be done - I think to myself, ‘I’ll get down to it later’.

10. I tend to procrastinate even when the task just requires me to sit down and devote a little time to it.
